Michael Douglas’ Addict Son Beaten in Prison

Cameron Douglas had a 100$ bounty on his head since ratting out his prison drug suppliers.

Cameron Douglas is having a rough go of it in prison: the son of actor Michael Douglas has suffered a broken leg and finger after a NYC mobster put a $100Cameron Douglas bounty on his head for “ratting out” his drug suppliers. The bounty was offered to anyone who hurt Douglas during the prison’s flag football season, causing him to drop out of the league. But the actor, who is currently serving a nearly 10-year prison sentence for dealing crystal meth and smuggling drugs into prison, showed up in the sick bay last October with severe injuries he claimed were from playing handball. “He broke his femur, which is hard to snap, and had to have a rod inserted,” said a prison insider. “You don’t break a femur from playing handball.” To make matters worse, a doctor’s aide misdiagnosed the broken leg as a sprain, which led to a blood clot. The “rat” accusation stems from a bail hearing in 2010, when Dr.Robert Millman let slip that Douglas agreed to testify against his suppliers, Mexican immigrant brothers David and Eduardo Escalera. In exchange for the testimony, Douglas had his 10-year sentence cut in half; but he then had 4.5 years added to his term after he was caught smuggling in heroin and a prescription narcotic while at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in NYC. “You see, your honor, I cannot seem to find comfort in my own skin,” Douglas, a longtime addict, said in court last December. “I feel ashamed. I feel defeated.” He is not eligible for parole until 2018. Article Link…
