Kate attends addiction charity gala

kate-middletonThe Duchess of Cambridge will continue her return to public duties tonight as she steps out in support of an addiction charity.

Kate, who is patron of Action on Addiction, will attend its Autumn Gala Evening dinner and reception in London, where she will be joined by comedian and impressionist Rory Bremner.

The Duchess, who is just over 12 weeks pregnant with her second child, will meet charity supporters at the event at L’Anima restaurant in the City.

It will be her second solo outing in three days following a two-month break as she battled a rare form of morning sickness.

On Monday she joined the Duke of Cambridge in welcoming Singapore’s president, Tony Tan Keng Yam, at the start of his state visit. She later went solo to attend a wildlife photographic awards ceremony being staged at the Natural History Museum.

Action on Addiction chief executive Nick Barton said: “The charity’s mission is to free people from addiction and we hope this evening will help us to make further progress in achieving that aim.” Article Link…
