Former Playboy Model Sentenced To Jail For Drug Smuggling

Brandi Brandt, who was once married to Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx, was sentenced to prison for six years.

brandi-brandtA former Playboy model had her latest photo shoot come in the form of a mugshot after being sentenced to six years in prison for her role in an Australian drug smuggling ring.

Brandi Brandt, the former wife of Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx, pleaded guilty last April to conspiring to import drugs. She was part of a ring in 2007 that hid cocaine packages on planes flying from California to Sydney on United and Qantas Airlines, with an airline catering company collecting the packages once the plane landed. However, District Court Judge Peter Zahra acknowledged that her role was “substantially lower” than the others involved.

The 45-year-old will be eligible for parole in November 2016, but her defense attorney Phillip Boulten was confident that she would be released early. In the years between the drug ring’s bust and her arrest and extradition back to Australia, Brandt had gotten clean and began working a regular job.

“She’s had it tough—she had a pretty mixed-up childhood,” saidBoulten earlier this month. “She was using drugs as a teen, her father was using drugs…She replicated, in some sense, the lifestyle of her parents. [But] she is unlikely to be in trouble ever again.”

This isn’t the first time a Playboy model has been involved in a drug scandal, though. Angelica Marie Cecora sought $5 million in damages from former boxing champion Oscar de la Hoya, accusing the fighter of holding her against her will at a New York City hotel in 2011. She also alleged that he stiffed her on a $1,500 room service bill following a night of rectally-administered cocaine and a transvestite masquerade. Article Link “the fix”…
