Meth Lab Trio Throw Toilet, Sink At Imagined Attackers

Police had to calm the three down and ensure their “attackers” were gone.

meth-labFlorida authorities said they have arrested three people running a meth lab after the suspects shot guns and threw everything they could find—including the toilet and bathroom sink included—out their window at hallucinated attackers.

Officers were called to the scene after a call about strange sounds and cries for help. When they arrived, the officers had to calm down Matthew McDaniel, 30, Damian Hines, 21, and Madison Douglas, 18, in order to convince them that their “attackers” were gone.

Police found no evidence of any real attackers, whom the trio claimed ransacked their home for hours. Douglas told officers one of the attackers had stabbed her in the gut with a knife and said the blade broke off inside her, but upon examination the officers saw her injury was a superficial scratch that she likely gave herself during the confusion.

Officers also discovered some meth and a shake-and-bake meth lab, among other things, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

“The three armed themselves with a 12-gauge shotgun and a .22 rifle. Approximately 40 rounds of 12-gauge and an unknown number of .22 rounds were fired from inside the residence,” the statement said. “Numerous windows were shot out and holes were shot in the walls. They completely removed a large rear window from the house on the second floor and threw the bathroom sink at the imaginary attackers. Chunks of sheetrock, wood, firearm parts and anything they could tear out of the residence was thrown outside, including the toilet, which was ripped from the floor. In total, more than $10,000 damage was done to the residence.”

McDaniel, Hines, and Douglas were charged with possession and attempted manufacture of meth and felony criminal mischief. Article Linke “the fix”…
